Spell Break: Short

So, yeah, this happened.  Kelly and Jason started talking a little bit, so I thought you might want to know what they told me.  Just a little glimpse into their life after the end of their story.  It takes place a couple of weeks after Spell Break ends.

It is NSFW.  *g*

Enjoy!

It was obvious that Kelly was frustrated.  If the tension in his jaw and shoulders wasn’t enough of a giveaway, the heavy sighs and occasional growl would have tipped Jason off.  He lowered the volume on the TV and turned to give his lover his full attention.
Kelly sat in the recliner, grumbling, with his knitting in his lap.  Jason watched as he made each stitch, a painfully slow process.  He hadn’t need the instruction book in weeks but it was now open on the arm of the chair and Kelly consulted the book with each insertion of the needle, each wrap of the yarn.  Upon closer inspection, Jason could see that Kelly was doing something different than he’d been doing the past two weeks.  After each pass of the needle, instead of there being a stitch looped around the needle in this right hand, it lay flat against the top of the scarf.  Kelly’s tounge poked out of the corner of his mouth as he concentrated.  Once he had finally completed the row, Kelly slipped the working end of yarn through the last loop, snipped it off the ball, and pulled the loose end tight.  After a second’s hesitation, he held up the completed scarf to inspect his work.  Then, with a frustrated growl, he tossed the whole thing into his lap with a great deal of force.

“What’s the matter, love?” Jason asked quietly.

Kelly turned anguished eyes in his direction.  He jabbed a finger at the purple lump on his thighs.  “This!  It’s crap.  The edges are all uneven and the tension is for shit.  It’s awful.  I don’t know why I thought I could even do this!”
Jason fought a smile.  Kelly was adorable when he was righteously indignant.  But he knew that Kelly would not see the humor in it right now, not when he was this upset.  He schooled his expression.  “It’s your first attempt, Kel.  There’s bound to be mistakes.  You have to practice.”
Kelly snorted out a self deprecating laugh.  “Yeah.  Right.  Practice.”
            “Kelly—“
“Its fine, sweetheart,” Kelly said, his tone making it clear it was anything but.  He set the whole thing aside and levered himself off the chair.  “I’m going to make some popcorn.  They I’ll join you for TV and cuddles, all right?”
Jason nodded and smiled.  He wished he could give Kelly some confidence, because he knew how much the man wanted to succeed at this, but there was only so much he could say if Kelly didn’t believe it.  He’d have some snuggle time with his man and hope that Kelly felt differently about it tomorrow.

Jason was tidying up in the living room the next evening when he spotted the purple mass of yarn in the otherwise empty trash can beside Kelly’s favorite chair.  Reverently, he lifted the scarf from the depths of the bin and held it up.  Okay, yes, some of the edge stitches were stretched out causing waviness to what was supposed to be straight and even.  Yes, some of the stitches in the body of the work were larger than the others.  But overall, and especially near the end, it was much more uniform.  Jason didn’t understand the whole process of knitting, but he knew what a finished product should look like.  And the scarf he held in his hand was pretty damn good.  He just had to get Kelly, with his overly critical eye, to see that.
Ten minutes later, Jason sauntered into Kelly’s office. The man in question was hard at work at whatever document was in front of him on the computer screen.  He didn’t notice Jason’s arrival in the slightest.  Jason settled in against the doorjamb to wait.
Nola noticed him first, lifting her head and starting to talk in that particular chirruping noise she reserved just for him.  Jason couldn’t help the grin that stretched his lips when Kelly’s head jerked up to look at his cat.  With a few clicks of his mouse, he saved what he was working on and turned in his office chair to face Jason.
Kelly’s jaw dropped and Jason’s grin grew.
“Sweetheart?”  Kelly had to clear his throat.  “You’re, uh, naked.”
“Not entirely,” Jason said, running a hand down the scarf that was hanging around his neck. The fabric was so soft to the touch that Jason couldn’t help rubbing it against his bare chest. “It’s a lovely scarf.  I can’t believe I found it in the trash.  I want it and I’m keeping it.”
Kelly nodded, his eyes riveted to the play of yarn against naked skin.  That was exactly what Jason wanted.
“And I want a matching hat.  Its winter out there, you know.”
Kelly nodded again, licked his lips, and reached out his hands.  Jason took a step back to stay just out of reach. Kelly grinned and made another grab, but Jason caught his hands and held them tight.  When the man lifted confused hazel eyes, Jason’s smile softened.
“I mean it, Kelly.  I’m keeping it and I want a matching hat.”
Kelly scowled.  “No, it’s not good enough for—“
“I’ll give you a blow job,” Jason interrupted.
Kelly snorted out a laugh and when he tugged on Jason’s hands and pulled the smaller man into his lap, Jason went willingly.  “You’d give me a blow job anyway.”
“True,” Jason conceded with a smile. “But do you see how awesome I look in this?  Seriously, it was made for me.”
Kelly’s eyes darted away and Jason knew he didn’t imagine the blush working its way up Kelly’s neck.  “Yeah, well,” Kelly said softly.  “It was.”
Jason nodded just once.  “It’s settled then.  It’s mine.  And I get a matching hat.”
The scowl was back.  “I don’t know how to make a hat.”
            “I’ll buy you a book.”
“Jay,” Kelly began, his tone full of warning. Jason had to nip that in the bud.  He slid of Kelly’s lap and onto his knees, his nimble fingers quickly working the button and zipper on the man’s jeans.  Kelly was hard already and it made things a little difficult for a second, but Jason had a lot of practice.  Once Kelly’s cock was free, Jason dropped his lips and placed a reverent kiss on the crown.  Kelly groaned.
Jason loved sucking Kelly’s cock and Kelly really loved having it sucked.  It was one of the quickest ways to get Kelly off.  Humming a little, Jason set to work, going for all of Kelly’s hot spots.  He reached one hand into the cradle of Kelly’s jeans to cup his balls.  A hard suck, a long lick, and a just the edge of teeth right under the cap, and Jason felt Kelly’s balls draw tight.  Quickly, he backed off and Kelly growled, left on the edge of release.
“Fuck!” Kelly shouted, startling Nola off the desk.  She hissed and took off running.  Jason laughed and Kelly growled again.
            “I”-lick-“want”-kiss-“a hat”-suck.
“That’s manipulation,” Kelly ground out, his teeth clenched.
“Mhmm,” Jason murmured in agreement with his mouth full of dick.  Kelly’s thighs shook.  A few more hard sucks and then Jason sat back on his heels, waiting patiently.
“Look at you,” Kelly’s voice was husky and his eyes were glazed with lust.  “Lips all red, swollen and shiny.  God, you’re just gorgeous.”
Internally, Jason preened at the praise but he kept his face impassive and said nothing.
“Fine!  I’ll make you a damn hat!”
“Yay!” Jason cheered, doing a little fist pump.  Then, with glee, he attacked Kelly’s cock with lips and tongue, doing everything he could to get Kelly to blow.  Not even two full minutes passed before Kelly let out a roar and came down Jason’s throat.  Satisfied, Jason sat back again and used his thumb to wipe off a dribble of cum that leaked past his lips.  He popped the digit in his mouth and sucked it clean.
Kelly’s eyes narrowed.  Then, without a word, he stood, stuffed himself back in his pants, and stepped around Jason.  Still feeling smug, Jason turned on his knees to watch the man walk away.  When he reached the door, Jason asked hopefully, “Bedtime?”
For a moment, there was silence.  Then a wicked grin stretched Kelly’s mouth.  “Bring the scarf.”
