In 7 weeks and 2 days, I'll know, one way or the other, if my first attempt at getting published is successful or not.
I'm going a little crazy.
Next time? Next time I'm going to submit a little closer to the deadline, I think. Just so I don't go bug nuts crazy in the meantime.
Oh, sounds stressful. :( Are you crossing the days off on a calendar? But still, you're not just sitting biting your fingernails while you wait, you are writing other stories. Good for you. But you may right about submitting closer to the deadline next time. :)
ReplyDeleteNot crossing off so much as, when I start stressing about it, looking at the calendar and counting days. I might be more confident next time if this one gets picked up and therefore the stress will be less but...I don't know. Knowing me, I'd stress no matter if it was four days or four months :)
DeleteI have no doubt you'll get the outcome you deserve. You're really good at this. Does it help to know that published authors go through this too? Facebook is full of authors posting that they're crossing their fingers after submitting an MS. My fingers are crossed for you. ((Hugs))
ReplyDeleteI know I'm not alone in the stress and worry. It does help a little. The hanks for the compliment and for the finger crossing!
Delete*shakes head* thanks. Not the hanks. What's up with autocorrect sometimes?!
