It's Up!
Head on over to Joyfully Jayif you're interested in reading my guest post.
Of course, you should head on over there anyway. Jock Week looks to be amazing! There are tons of reviews, awesome giveaways, and some amazing guest posts scheduled.
LOL! You & Madison. Too funny. I check all my fave blogs in the morning & 2 Boys is one of them. What time zone are you in? I'm EST. And I don't want to be first. Sometimes I want to think about it first like the last post.
I read your post earlier, and went back to add a comment just now but for some reason couldn't get into Joyful Jay. I just wanted to say how excellent it was. I especially like the fact that, while you quite rightly talked about how jocks have lovely bodies, you didn't stop there but made a very insightful point about how they would have skills of concentration and tenacity which they would focus on creating he relationship.
And I also liked how you put a positive spin on the possibility of a jock's losing his sport: "This is an excellent time for personal growth, should he choose to embrace it".
Thank you - you made me think more about this type of book than I have before!
Thank you for taking the time to comment! I'm glad that you enjoyed it. I think that jocks get gypped a lot, stuck into that "dumb jock" stereotype and I wanted to point out the positives. I was just telling it like I see it :0)
I've just left a comment over on Joyfully Jay. That was a really interesting post, I hadn't really thought about all the variations there are on the jock trope. :)
Awesome post Kris! But then you always are!
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot, Mary! What a wonderful thing to say. So nice to see you here too!
DeleteI'll have to visit more often since I always enjoy your comments when we meet elsewhere!
ReplyDeleteThanks! Me, too. You're one of those people I look for and I have to say, I give a little smirk if I manage to comment before you over at 2 boys!;)

ReplyDeleteI'm EST too. I check in the morning as well, I usually have a half hour to an hour to kill before I start work, so I do my blog surfing then.

ReplyDeleteThanks, Alder! I blame the muse, she pointed out all those things to me :P
